Since I can remember, I have always dreamt about having my own dog. But only as a grown up person, I was able to make this dream come true. Thus, when I settled with my husband and with my son in a new house, it was obvoius that our family would soon become larger at the instance of a four-footed creature. As to the breed, we have initially been convinced that it was going to be big and friendly to children, and it should also be a guard.

We have long searched through diverse publications providing descript_ions of dog races. Finally, the selection turned out to be a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog or a Hovawart, and the "Swissy" was No. 1. It was very difficult to find a kennel. Fortunately, during one of the dog shows we met Barbara Wierzbicka - then the only breeder of dogs of this race in Poland. On January 30, 1999 our beloved CHERIE - LIV Refugium appeared in our house. She was wonderful and each day with her confirmed that our selection was fit and fortunate.

Initially, we have not planned to establish a kennel. But as the time was passing by, we came to realize that we truly wanted Cherie to pup. In June 2002 the name of our kennel, KONESER was registered, and on June 14 2002 four little "Koneser" puppies came into the world At the end of May 2004, a beautiful little bitch PETRONELA Refugium Polonica (FCI) appeared in our family: At home we call her ASTI. She also comes from the kennel of Barbara Wierzbicka, a very experienced person and a close friend of ours. Barbara is always eager to share her specialist knowledge with us. Thank you very much.

At the end of May 2004, a beautiful little bitch - PETRONELA Refugium Polonica (FCI), appeared in our family: At home we call her ASTI. She also comes from the kennel of Mrs. Barbara Wierzbicka, a very experienced person and a close friend of ours. Barbara is always eager to share her specialist knowledge with us. In October 2004 the name of our kennel was entered into the international FCI Register. Breeding "Swissies" became our passion, and I am convinced that this will last long
